————————————————————————————————————–

Welcome dear reader to a new month, a new day and new possibilities. How are you doing with regard to your goals this year?

We are well past the midpoint of 2022. Are you still enthused about the goals you set yourself at the beginning of this year?

If you’ve fallen by the wayside, forgotten that you had even set yourself some goals, or are floundering around in the pit of procrastination, take heart. We still have five months to go before we say goodbye to this current year.

Now I can appreciate that life happens, so there are times when we have a genuine reason for our broken focus, such as when a loved one dies and you find yourself knee-deep in bereavement and sorrow.

Other times, it is just plain old discouragement, disorganisation, or lack of discipline. We know what we should be doing but we fail, for whatever reason, to do it.

Purpose-driven achiever, do you need to dust off your goals? Do you need to re-set your priorities? Or do you need to sit down and consider what it is you actually want out of life… what it is God has called you to do, and then actually set some goals in order to steer yourself towards achievement?

My motivational message for you (and myself), this month is: Strive to be consistent! Because at the end of the day, our life reflects what we consistently do (good or bad).

The athlete’s toned body reflects consistency in the food they eat and their exercise regime. The same applies to the unfit and overweight person. In each scenario, goals, or lack of goals, determines the level of consistency and determines the end result.

A writer’s decision to show up consistently at their laptop (or whatever writing device they use), is reflected by a steady output of blog posts, stories, books or other creative endeavours.

Consistency pays! But in order to achieve the results we desire, we need to direct our efforts with diligence.

Dear friend, what have you been doing consistently these past 7 months? Has this helped or hindered your personal development? Are you enjoying a positive result, or sucking the sour fruits of regret?

We can either make excuses, or make progress!

If you are not happy with your progress, why not make this month of August a challenge month, to consistently do the things that will take you forward towards your dreams?

And if you have not yet set yourself some SMART goals, why not use this month to kick-start a new beginning towards your personal development as a purpose-driven achiever.

If you’d like further encouragement, why not listen to this compilation video:

And once you’ve listened to it, don’t just forget about what you’ve heard. Take note of the motivational nugget you’d like to remember and adopt, then review your note daily.

Dear friends, I wish you a blessed and productive week.

Best wishes,

Carol
