Praise Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17 (KJV) How Can I Not Praise Him? Jesus, the Son of God, is the Heavenly Father’s wonderful gift to the world. And salvation, i.e. ultimate […]
PRAISE the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. (Psalm 106:1) Have you ever blessed someone but your gift was met with indifference, or plain ingratitude? It just doesn’t feel good – does it? Now, I don’t know about you but if someone does that to […]

Praise, Prayer & Worship Wednesday Thanksgiving: We give thanks to you this day O God that One so mighty, high and lifted up, One so awesome in holiness, One so glorious with the brightness of your splendour—would deign to think of us, care about our lives and stoop to rescue us from eternal damnation, and […]

I’ve ‘known’ Shell Vera for a number of years now as a fellow-blogger and recall her being one of the very first to engage with me in a meaningful manner, regarding one of my posts. As a newbie blogger, I appreciated this so much. To date, Shell Vera is still a regular reader and commenter […]
No regrets, Carol. Things I have learned from and a LOT of growing this year. But not one regret.

I wish, Carol! Other than with my eating, I have a lot of learning about discipline. But I’ve learned throughout my life that the things I thought I would regret one day actually helped me become who I am today (think: teen pregnancy, divorce, lifestyle choices) so I no longer regret but instead learn from anything I do that may not have been my best choice. Discipline would prevent me from making those type decisions, though sometimes it isn’t even about that. Sometimes we go left when going right would avoid a traffic jam. Instead of regretting, we can ask the Lord, “What can I learn while I am here?”

I like that Shell Vera. Thanks for elaborating and continuing the conversation. I need to take a leaf from your book and instead of regretting what I’ve done, or failed to do, move on and learn from my experiences.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me this helpful and enlightening comment.
