Boost Your Confidence – Every Day!

Have you ever been on the receiving end of someone’s lack of confidence in you?

I bet you have!

Perhaps you’ve even encountered someone’s scarce-concealed contempt.

But what about you?

Do you entertain self-doubt?

Have you secretly harboured concerns that you might not be able to meet the needs of a job, or get a task done in time to meet that deadline?

Do you wonder whether you really have what it takes to fulfil your dreams, to achieve your purpose, to end this year on a strong, productive and victorious note?

Whether emanating from you, or somebody else, the above scenarios speak of reservations regarding your ability, personal commitment, even perhaps your integrity.

Not pleasant is it?

Do you know that God has no such reservations about you?

And the wonderful, amazing truth is that despite our God knowing us so much better than anyone else (including ourselves), He still has confidence in us. He still entrusts us with the advancement of his kingdom. He still wants to use you and me as co-labourers. Humbling, isn’t it?

God knows your strengths. He knows your weaknesses. He’s familiar with your failures and shortcomings. He’s aware of your outward pretensions and occasions of bluffing bravado. He knows your secret fears. In fact, God knows you inside out and outside in. He knows your thoughts, intentions and motivations. Yet despite what he knows about you, he places utmost confidence in you… has planned a wonderful destiny for you.

Now when God placed Adam in the Garden of Eden, do you think he had no idea Adam was going to fail, that he was going to betray his Creator and disobey his command? And yet despite knowing this, our Father-God had absolutely no reservations about placing Adam in the Garden of Eden, entrusting him to look after it. None!

Purpose-driven believer and dream-achiever, whether you are aware of it or not, whether you believe it or not, God has a plan for your life. Listen to what the Bible has to say about this:

For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

(Jeremiah 29:11 Amplified Bible)

So what were your expectations for this year?

Do you have cherished dreams, goals, or a vision which have been a continual source of discouragement because you’ve failed to achieve? Have you abandoned hope because it feels less painful to let your dreams go, rather than experience the constant disappointment of thwarted aspirations?

Dear reader, I sincerely hope you did not answer “Yes” to any of my questions above, although I fully understand if you have done so.

I sincerely hope that whatever life throws your way, you will not allow yourself to be deterred from following your dream, running with that vision, pursuing those goals.

But if that is the case, I hope the following motivational video (4.16mins) will encourage and kick-start that much-needed faith in yourself.

However, if you are doing well, if you are on target for fulfilment of your goals then please take a moment to congratulate yourself and to thank your loving Creator, whose breath fills your lungs and has enabled you to reach that milestone.

Dear friends, even though we are drawing close to the end of this year’s journey, there’s still time to write a few pages of achievement and success in the story of your life.

Friends and followers, I wish you God speed, as you continue with confidence on your journey.

  2. I’ve been doing the #last90days challenge hosted by Rachel Hollis and this has helped me stay focused on this end of year period where we tend to think the year is over and start thinking about next year. Instead we are ensuring we end this year strong. I love that idea and am so going in with it to ensure 2018 goes down as a catalyst year in which I saw my dreams start to come to fruition. ~Shell

    1. Wow! Hats off to you. I find it hard even to write posts 5 days in a row. Are you writing about this on your blog? If so, I must pop by and read some of your entries.
Thanks so much Shell for dropping by and engaging with my posts. Always appreciated. 🙂

      1. I didn’t see the comment. I’m so sorry. I have to get better at following the comments on the business account (I don’t have the app installed for that one). I blog about my progress on The Essential Creative. I did an update last week! I’ll do another at the end but I am not blogging each day. Just journaling! Take care and have a great holiday if you celebrate it!

I’m in the UK so we don’t celebrate thanksgiving here. Have a great time with your loved ones.
