Lady Cee’s Creative Challenge – 5

Today’s post will focus on what I see as this woman’s diligent and ongoing preparation for her future… for the realisation of her dreams.

First and foremost you will note that she wears no shoes. As soon as I realised this my mind went to the scene in Exodus 3:1-5 when Moses stood before the burning bush. He was instructed to take off his shoes, as he was standing upon holy ground.

The fact that this woman is not wearing any shoes, symbolises to me that she is walking in the “fear of the Lord” i.e. she desires her deep respect and reverence for God and the principles of his kingdom, to direct and influence her life.

Working upwards, I see that this woman is not casually attired. She looks suitably smart. She is dressed for success. Her outfit is symbolic of the SMART* goals she has set, which will propel her towards her desired level of success. Her outfit bears the heavenly design label “Garments of Praise” and enables her to overcome periods of despair or discouragement.

Next we note that this woman is wearing glasses. I believe this signifies clarity of vision. Motivational speakers often encourage us to “see” where it is we desire to go, to visualise ourselves achieving our goals. Glasses are normally worn to correct our vision. As a born-again child of God, I now have the capacity to “see” with the eyes of faith. Why faith? Because faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen!

Last (but not least), I see that this woman’s hair has been tied back in a neat, orderly way. In the Bible, hair represents a person’s separation or consecration to God. Remember Samson? I believe it also represents spiritual strength.

And so I see a strong, disciplined and focused woman of God, who prepares herself mentally, emotionally and spiritually, so she can experience ongoing personal development and significant success.

Challenge question:

  • What do you see?
  • What are you doing to increase God-focused awareness and spiritual strength?

* Goals which are:

Specific

Measurable

Attainable

Realistic

Time-bound

  1. This is my favorite analysis so far. Great observation on her wearing no shoes! I love how far out of the box you brought what you saw here and the Biblical / Christian connection. Great job!

      1. You did such a great job with it and I have to take a moment to esteem your consistency and dedication. You kept going with your conviction and that to me is a true blogger! Truly a heart to reach people versus grow big. I think it’s why I’ve always loved your posts and insight. I see your heart is truly that I connect deeper with God!

You’ve given us all a great example to keep going whether anyone shows up or not because it is about pleasing HIM and doing what we said versus pleasing people or getting numbers! (Though you do well there!!) Have a great evening!

      2. Oh Shell Vera what a lovely thing to say! Thank you for this encouragement, which is deeply appreciated. And once again, thank you for taking the time to read my posts and engage with me. People like you, help to make this blogging journey a little easier. I do sometimes feel like I’m a voice crying out in the wilderness! 😊
May the Lord continue to bless you and shower upon you his abundance and favour.

      3. Bless you sis!! Even in the wilderness, there are people listening! Keep crying out sis because we are here listening, even when it’s silent. I definitely am convicted his week that I need to be more intentional about the blogs I review because yours are two I enjoy but I seldom see them pop up in the reader. I need to make myself a list and purposely drive (see what I did there?) myself over to those blogs weekly to check them out because we are all in this together sharing what is on our hearts and minds and hoping to influence others toward seeing their purpose and knowing they aren’t alone in this life! Have a beautiful day!!
