Thanksgiving Fatigue?

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to day 5 of my “thanks-fest”. If you have joined me on all the previous days to date – thank you!  If you have only just joined – where have you been? 🙂

Well, the official Thanksgiving Day is over! I hope you all had a wonderful time with your family and friends.

Perhaps you are now feeling a little sluggish from all that food and drink, and perhaps you are even feeling fatigued with the whole gratitude saga. I hope not. There is only one more day to go of my 6-day “thanks-fest”, so I hope you will bear with me.

I’d just like you to consider one point today.

Have you ever given a gift to someone (maybe a child) and that person had to be cajoled into saying “thank you”. Or have you had someone thank you for something you did, out of a sense of duty or politeness but it lacked sincerity? Not nice is it?

ONE QUESTION:

I wonder how our  Heavenly Father feels when we treat him similarly?

ONE VERSE:

Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven, for his lovingkindness continues forever.

(Psalms 136: 26 – The Living Bible)

ONE BEAUTIFUL SONG:

Best wishes,

Carol

“…If you love what you are doing, you will be successful” – Albert Schweitzer

  1. Oh great question! Such a great analogy tying us in to how we feel when it’s done to us.
